International Symposium on Rarefied Gas Dynamics
Rarefied Gas Dynamics is a field of science primarily concerned with the study of gas flows in which processes on a molecular level are relevant. With diverse applications spanning from astrophysics to micro-flows, it continues to raise challenging questions that require a multi-disciplinary effort by mathematicians, physicists, chemists, computational scientists and engineers.
Since its inauguration in Nice, France (1958), the biennial International Symposium on Rarefied Gas Dynamics is the recognized forum for the global academic community to present and discuss the most recent advances and emerging topics in the field. The symposium returns to Germany for the first time in 34 years after a successful meeting in Seoul, South Korea (2022) under the challenging circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Göttingen is a charming university city in the heart of Germany, founded in the European middle ages, with a rich cultural and academic history. We trust you will enjoy the special blend of old world charm and modern science, and look forward to meeting you in July 2024!
