Mittlerweile ist die Frage nach Wassereis auf dem Mars längst beantwortet. Dieses Foto zeigt eine Aufnahme der hochauflösenden stereoskopischen Kamera an Bord der ESA-Sonde Mars Express. Im geschützten Inneren eines polaren Kraters kann sich ein Feld aus Wassereis halten.
